Barracuda fishing is possibly the most under-appreciated form of saltwater fishing in warm areas like the Florida Keys, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas. Giving anglers a hammering strike and a powerful fight, barracuda are an impressive sight in the water, on the hook, and in the boat.
While they are not prized for their meat, they offer excellent sport. Because of the species’ aggressive feeding and curious nature, many anglers catch a barracuda while fishing for something else entirely. Many will also have their catch stolen or cut in half by a chomping barracuda.
No matter how you encounter one, you’re in for an exciting moment on the water.
